I am originally a trained pharmacist and have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for almost 25 years, where I have worked in close dialogue with authorities on the approval of pharmaceuticals.

Finally, I was given the opportunity to use the RIGHT side of my brain, which has been undermined and scared of challenges most of my life. I chose the academic route and the safer road !!!

I have spent most of my life sewing, but in 2014 the creativity around the fabric portraits really took off, during a stay in the US via my husband's job. I was so lonely 'over there', but luckily I had my sewing machine and found a course that introduced me to the first 'pictorial art quilts' - quilts created from photos. I was so excited about the technique that I further developed it and after my return to Denmark in 2016, I found the courage to quit my job and really immerse myself into the creative world.

As a pharmacist in a very academic world, it has been difficult to say that I am an artist, but now I see myself as a visual artist and spend so much time on pictures. I love what I am doing and am determined to continue in this art form for a long time to come.

The portraits occupy me the most right now, but who knows what comes next ... time will tell .... it happens when new ideas arise …… .
